What would you do for peace?

New York, NY…December 14, 2015 – – “I cannot sit idly by while chaos consumes the world,” says Emanuel Bat Joshoua. “Today I am announcing the start of a revolution – a new movement and it’s called My Name is Peace (MNIP).”

Bat Joshoua, an entrepreneur and highly successful international entertainment producer believes we are each responsible for making a difference, whether it is by taking a small step or a giant leap. “The alternative,” she says, “is to become a silent witness to the devastation we are watching escalate across the world. No one living on this planet has that luxury.”

My Name is Peace was not inspired by a single act of violence; rather it is Bat Joshoua’s reaction to a growing trend of complacency. “I decided to stop sitting on the sidelines complaining,” she says. Instead she has chosen to become a participant in something big. Something that forces each individual to ask a very simple question – “What am I willing to do for peace?”

No single person can tackle all of the world’s problems on their own, but through My Name is Peace, Bat Joshoua hopes to harness the transformative power each of us has within, and to inspire individuals everywhere to make choices each day that embrace compassion, kindness and generosity. We have seen acts of courage and acts of kindness change nations, motivated by a single person, unafraid of taking on insurmountable odds. Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, each took a stand – each took up a cause and influenced throngs of followers to join them on the quest to elevate humankind.

The simplicity of My Name is Peace lay in its founding principles:
• Awaken each individual’s capacity to affect positive change
• Start conversations and provoke meaningful dialogue with the aim of turning the tides of war, of poverty and of hopelessness
• Challenge people everywhere to take a stand
